Katie Thronson on Receiving Inaugural Play it Forward Alumni Award - Gatorade National Athlete of the Year Awards Ceremony 2022

Notre Dame graduate student-athlete Katie Thronson, a 2018 alumni of Lewis and Clark High in Washington, received the inaugural Gatorade Play it Forward Alumni Award as part of the National Athlete of the Year ceremony at Goya Studios in West Hollywood, with a $20,000 grant being provided to Active4Youth in the Spokane community, which Thronson has remained connected with following prep career. Thronson, the 2018 Gatorade honoree as Washington state cross country player of the year, is graduating this summer from Tennessee with a degree in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology, along with a minor in Public Health. She will pursue a Masters degree and complete her remaining eligibility at Notre Dame. More videos
